Equentis Angel Fund is a SEBI-registered Cat-I AIF, backing early-stage Indian startups at Pre-Series A / Series A that solve India-focused problems using tech-enabled models. Our typical sweet spot includes businesses with strong execution DNA, demonstrable early traction, and scalable market opportunities.

  • Target Corpus: INR 500 Cr
  • First Close: INR 100 Cr (from 350+ investors), achieved in May 2025

  • Standard cheque: $500K–$1M (INR 4–8 Cr)

Startups are evaluated across:

We are a fairly sector-agnostic fund which likes backing businesses:
  • Operating in Large TAM (> $1B)
  • Models showing margin resilience, monetisation clarity, and scale potential
  • Preference for IP-driven moats
Avoids: Over-regulated, low-margin, and structurally fragmented sectors

No. We only invest in startups that:
  • Are Indian-domiciled Pvt Ltd companies
  • Show revenue recognition in India
  • Have clean legal and tax structures
Cross-border ambitions are fine, but the operational and legal heart must be in India.
