By the end of the day, it dipped by 0.56%, closing at 19528.75. Only four sectors ended up in the green at the end of the market session, while the remaining witnessed selling pressure. Some of the primary factors that led to today’s negative market movement include fear of inflationary pressure, adverse global market cues, rising crude oil prices, and adverse weather conditions.
Out of Nifty 50’s constituents, only 13 stocks gained today, while 37 ended up in the red. Today’s top gainer stocks include financial services, PSU banks, consumer durables, and realty segments.

- L&T: Larsen & Toubro is the second top gainer stock today. The stock increased by 1.67% in today’s market session and closed at 3074, up from the previous close of 3025.55. L&T Construction secured a ‘Large’ order, and the announcement of the same has been the primary reason behind its price going up today.
- Titan: India’s one of the favorite watches, gems, and jewelry brands has been the 3rd top gainer today, increasing 1.34% during the market session. This stock has gained significantly due to the festive season and positive market movement. - Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Limited: This transport infrastructure stock gained 0.79% during today’s market session. Though the market did not flare today, the above stocks poured gains for the investors. The negative global cues and inflationary rise are pressuring the market significantly.
