The festive mood in the market is not prominent as the global peers are sluggish and highly volatile with the Middle East crisis and crude price volatility. Even the US bond yield affects the domestic market as FIIs redeem their investments in the country since the yield has increased in the West.

Having said that, today, there were 30 nifty gainers, which is one of the highest this week, while 20 nifty losers were at the end of the market session today.

Let’s find out the top nifty gainers and losers today to see which stocks performed the best and the worst before the market closes for the festive season.

Wrapping up

Though the overall market was green today, significant selling pressure was seen in the auto, IT, and realty sectors. This led to a flat market throughout the day with marginal gains. Festive gains have been washed away by negative global cues and flying FIIs, and the market ended sluggishly before the festival of lights.
